A survey of the international Dada and Surrealist movements from 1915 to 1947, which challenged and redefined the traditions of modern art. Students analyze examples of fine art, performance, literature and film, and study how both Dada and Surrealism acted as responses to mechanization and war. Prerequisite(s): Any HA course.
