This course focuses on contemporary issues in painting, introducing research as a component of painting and facilitating students’ development of a self-determined studio practice. Working through inquiry and experimentation, students will explore individual development of process, subject, form, and content. Sources will include observed, invented, appropriated, and digital imagery. Prerequisite(s): FA 256 .
