Theatre Capstone
Fairfield University · UGRD · Fall 2026
1 section
Catalog description
We read provocative works commenting on two basic ideas: the human impulse to make art, and various theories of theatre: what makes good theatre, how we should alter the theatre-making process, and how theatre fits into the grand scheme of our culture. The theories we read will help shape and define our own thoughts, while improving writing skills. We also examine post-graduation options, whether they are in the theatre world or some other industry. Students complete a Capstone Project designed to showcase their personal artistry, intellect, and expertise. It will consist of written component, as well as a performance/presentation.
