Research Thesis in Behavioral Neuroscience

Catalog description

In this course, students engage in an advanced research project, under the mentorship of a faculty member. This can include conducting a literature review, developing hypotheses, designing and implementing a research protocol, and analyzing and interpreting data.  Students write a thesis in APA-style, including an introduction with a thorough review of relevant literature, a detailed description of methods and procedure, as well as the results and a discussion about the conclusions and contribution of the project. Permission from the professor supervising the project is needed prior to registering for this course, and a research proposal is often required prior to acceptance, so early planning is essential. Enrollment by permission only.
