Catalog description

This course explores neuroscience through in-depth analysis of high-impact publications in the field. The course is structured such that the initial lectures will provide a refresher on foundational neuroscience concepts and techniques. Subsequent sessions are student-led discussions of published research articles across a number of conditions (e.g., Alzheimer’s disease, sleep, stress, substance use disorders), model organisms (e.g., humans, rodents, cephalopods, crustaceans), and research approaches (e.g., behavior, EEG, microscopy). Open to senior psychology majors and behavioral neuroscience majors.
