Catalog description
This introductory course in statistical methodology and analysis includes descriptive statistics such as frequency distributions, central tendency, variability, and correlation as well as an introduction to probability, sampling theory, and tests of significance including the t-test, chi-squared, ANOVA, and non-parametric statistics. This course is open to majors in the behavioral, biological, and physical sciences. The lab complements the course by giving students supervised computation and problem-solving exercises. Note: This course does not fulfill any core requirements.
