Catalog description

This course examines key political, scientific, and economic issues surrounding global climate change and international attempts to address it. Topics include the causes and impacts of climate change, policy-making under uncertainty, key technological, energy and economic issues, key actors and their interests, the history, creation, and content of international climate policy, obstacles to more effective international climate policy, and options for potentially increasing that effectiveness. Students will gain the ability to understand and analyze climate policy options at the global, national and local levels.
