What is going on in the world? Ukraine v. Russia. The International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court on Gaza. China invading Taiwan? This course is about making sense of the most relevant issues of contemporary international politics. The course is designed to push your thinking about these and other global issues. We will be evaluating, analyzing, and discussing these complex issues and their wider-world impact. We will survey the common theoretical building blocks of international relations. We will then use them to make sense of the behavior of states and other actors on current global issues.
