Catalog description

Islam is most often treated as a monolithic force when in fact the relationship between Islam, politics, and society is varied and dynamic. The course introduces students to the diverse pluralism of Islam-influenced practices in politics, education, charitable aid, and business, drawing on examples from many different countries and regions, including Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and North Africa.
