Catalog description

This course focuses on how the Constitution and the Supreme Court address issues related to individual freedoms. It examines Supreme Court decisions regarding civil liberties, including freedoms of speech, press, religion, and assembly. It also examines the rights of accused persons and the 14th amendment equal protection, emphasizing the political implications of these decisions as well as the political environment in which the Court functions.
