Catalog description

This course examines President's role as chief executive, legislative leader, and administrative head of state, as well the expansion of presidential powers by 20th and 21st century presidents. It also explores differences and patterns among presidents in their domestic and foreign policy, explanations for these patterns and why some Presidents found more success, changes in Presidential primaries, nominating, conventions, and national elections, and how issues such as psychology, economic forces, political parties, "political time," and media impact the Presidency.
