PHIL 2285
Women and Horror
Fairfield University · UGRD · Fall 2026
1 section
Catalog description
This course takes up the complicated genre of horror in light of the feminist tradition of philosophy. It can in many cases reinforce problematic gender stereotypes, but it can also provoke a rethinking of the myths and assumptions about women's experiences today. This course is both an exercise in philosophical questioning as well as a study of the horror genre.
