Catalog description

This course aims to introduce the research process and its application to scholarship in clinical practice. Students learn to be consumers of research through a review of the literature, critique of research, and identification of methods appropriate to study specific practice-related problems. Applicability to clinical research and evidence-based practice is considered and translated. An emphasis is placed on clinical reasoning and writing skills. When evaluating student writing, consideration is given to the ability to communicate the main idea or topic, mechanics and organization of writing, use of supporting evidence, and relevance of the content. 42 theory hours.
