Advanced Dynamics

Catalog description

The topics in the area of dynamics include degrees of freedom, generalized coordinates, constraints, physics of failure, flexures, and optomechanics. The course will focus on practical applications of advanced dynamics, including linkages, cams, and kinematics mechanisms, as well as computer applications and project design. Students will be challenged to develop a publication-worthy white paper as a final deliverable along with their final project. Undergraduate equivalent: MEEG 4322 .
