Heat and Mass Transfer

Catalog description

This course covers the concepts of conduction, convection, and radiation heat transfer as well as mass transfer. Boiling and condensation; design and performance of selected thermal systems (including heat exchangers); and laminar and turbulent flows as related to forced and free convection are all studied. Mathematical modeling of engineering systems using modern analytical and computational solution methods are also covered. Graduate equivalent: MEEG 5354 .
