This graduate-level treatment of partial differential equations includes boundary value problems, Fourier series, and Fourier transforms. Students should have a solid background in undergraduate mathematics through multivariable calculus, ordinary differential equations, and applied matric theory or linear algebra, which is well-covered by MATH 5401 .
