Catalog description
This course is designed to provide an introduction to the underlying concepts and theories of microeconomics. Students will learn ideas and methodologies that help them to understand how markets behave, and how they are impacted by local, national, and international events. They will explore the behavior of consumers and producers in markets for goods and services, as well as global economic structures. They will assess the outcomes of market activity, and explore alternative methods of allocating resources when markets are determined to have failed.
