The Counselor Preparation Comprehensive Exam (CPCE) is a standardized multiple-choice exam with 120 questions that requires Clinical Mental Health Counseling candidates to demonstrate understanding and mastery of content reflecting the eight core CACREP areas. It is highly recommended that candidates complete their comprehensive exam during their penultimate semester.
