Catalog description

This course will investigate how biochemists study and manipulate the molecular systems of life. Building on foundational knowledge of biomolecular structure and basic metabolism, we will explore experimental approaches to understanding information flow from DNA to proteins, molecular recognition and signaling networks, and the methods used to engineer biological systems. Students will learn to design experiments, interpret results from diverse biochemical techniques, and apply biochemical principles to complex biological problems.  Crosslisted with BIOL 3325.
