Catalog description

Prerequisite: None. Basic course includes instruction on entry-level skills and knowledge to: identify and set-up the types of Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) and Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) equipment; identify types and specifications of GMAW/FCAW electrodes; set up and perform fillet and groove GMAW/FCAW welds in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions. Covers the American Welding Society (AWS) D1.1 Structural Welding Code and related AWS SENSE Level 1 competencies.
