Catalog description

Prerequisite: None. This course introduces students to the foundations of artificial intelligence and the skills needed to use AI tools effectively, ethically, and responsibly. Students will explore core AI concepts such as machine learning, neural networks, natural language processing, and generative AI, explained through accessible, non-technical examples. Emphasis is placed on AI literacy, including understanding model limitations, bias, data privacy, and ethical considerations. Students will also develop practical skills in using modern AI tools for research, writing, creativity, and problem-solving.
