Catalog description

Prerequisite: MECH 101 with a grade of C or higher. This course focuses on developing the skills and knowledge required to diagnose, service, and repair a full range of driveline and transmission systems. This course covers clutches, manual and automatic transmissions, transaxles, torque converters, drive shafts, differentials, axles, wheels and bearings, and four-wheel drive hub assemblies. Emphasis is placed on system design and operation, component inspection and testing, and both in-vehicle and out-of-vehicle repair procedures. (0.5 Lecture: 3.5 Lab)
