Catalog description

Prerequisites: MECH 101, MECH 102, MECH 103, MECH 104, MECH 105. This course focuses on the service, troubleshooting, and repair of fuel and emissions systems in agricultural equipment. Key topics include: study of injection pumps, turbochargers, and Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) systems, operational principles, exploration of the principles governing computer-controlled diesel engines, with a strong emphasis on diagnosis and troubleshooting, and understanding the interaction with electronic engine software to enhance diagnostic capabilities. Upon completion of this course, students will be equipped with the technical skills and knowledge necessary to proficiently service and repair fuel systems in both agricultural and heavy-duty applications.
