Epidemiology is the study of the distribution and determinants of health and illness at the population level and the application of epidemiology in controlling the issue or illness. During this course, students are introduced to the basic concepts, principles, and application of epidemiology to understand procedures for studying, preventing, and controlling diseases, environmental health hazards, and accidents.
