A senior level course designed for advanced students and working professionals who are seeking to tie it all together. The course stretches across the natural science fields to apply multiple theories and research approaches to current events from the perspective of a variety of disciplines, including but not limited to Geology, Chemistry, Physics and Biology. Students will use their critical thinking skills along with oral and written communication skills while reviewing and analyzing ethical questions and the concepts of diversity across the natural science disciplines. Through a mixture of discussions, presentations and written analysis, students apply their previous learning in new ways both analyzing and synthesizing new perspectives on their learning. This is a reading and writing intense course that should serve as the culmination of the students' work at the Bachelor's degree level. This is an intense eight-week course requiring significant research and writing from the student. View Sample Syllabus
