Catalog description

This course will introduce students to basic concepts in programming through the Python language. The concepts to be covered include, but will not be limited to: variables, Boolean logic, loops, collecting user input, displaying output and/or saving it to an external file, lists, strings, objects, inheritance, recursion, and Graphic User Interface (GUI) programming. Students will have multiple opportunities to practice the debugging process throughout the course. By the end of this course, students will be able to apply these concepts to create executable programs to meet many real-world needs. View Sample Syllabus
