Catalog description
This course provides students with a foundation in reverse engineering within the context of cybersecurity, penetration testing, malware analysis, and its applicability to cybersecurity attack strategies and countermeasures. Moreover, the course prepares students to use various penetration testing tools to analyze networks for vulnerabilities, and reverse engineering tools to perform malware analysis and decompilation of code. Intellectual property protections such as digital rights management and communication protocols utilizing static and dynamic techniques are also discussed. The course aligns with and will assist students in preparing for two industry certification programs: TestOut Ethical Hacker Pro and EC Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) View Sample Syllabus
