Catalog description
This course focuses on the study of the relationships between unions and employers, including various aspects of labor history, law, and collective bargaining. In addition, it will examine issues such as public sector unionism and unionism around the world. A core emphasis will be the changing nature of labor-management relations in the United States as a result of global competition and the internationalization of markets. Finally, the course touches on patterns of union resistance and preventive labor relations strategies. View Sample Syllabus
