Catalog description

A descriptive and introductory course in the fundamentals of operations management. Introduces basic concepts and techniques of managing operations both in manufacturing and non-manufacturing sectors. Includes product and process design, demand forecasting, facilities layout and location, materials management, inventory management, production planning and quality assurance. Highlights international aspects of operations wherever appropriate, as is the role of management information systems in operations management.
