A survey of aviation from its beginnings, from myths to balloon flights, gliders to powered flight, through the jet age, and into the space age. Students will be introduced to the effects of wars on the development of civil and military aircraft and will learn about significant achievements and contributors to the advancement of aviation with emphasis on the development of aviation in the United States.
