Catalog description
For students in the physical therapy program. Emphasis on gross anatomy of the human skeleton, muscular, vascular, and nervous systems. Knowledge of gross anatomy provides students with a sound foundation upon which other courses in the physical therapy curriculum can directly or indirectly be related. Content presented in a regional approach, and includes anatomical concepts such as proper terminology, surface anatomy, and joint function. Gross anatomy is best learned in the laboratory through dissection of the human body. Course is primarily a laboratory experience. Prerequisite: PT 541. Summer.
