Catalog description

This course introduces nursing students to the essential principles, skills, and concepts required to meet patients basic healthcare needs across the lifespan. Emphasis is placed on the nurses role in promoting health, preventing illness, and providing safe, evidence-based care. Students will learn about fundamental nursing concepts, including hygiene, mobility, nutrition, elimination, safety, comfort measures, infection control priority setting, and documentation. The nursing process serves as the framework for clinical decision-making, while therapeutic communication, cultural sensitivity, and ethical considerations are integrated throughout.
