Introduction to Nursing

Catalog description
This introductory course is designed to prepare students for the academic rigor of the nursing curriculum. Emphasis is placed on reviewing foundational anatomy and physiology concepts, medical terminology, and mathematical skills essential for safe and effective nursing practice. Students will develop strategies for mastering complex nursing content, with a focus on test-taking techniques specific to nursing school exams, including NCLEX-style questions. Through interactive learning activities and practice assessments, students will strengthen their critical thinking skills, build confidence in applying scientific principles, and establish effective study habits. Prerequisite: Admission into the Accelerated Bachelor of Nursing Program. This is a second-degree program.
