Through readings, films, and class discussion, students engage in a critical examination of theories of gender and their social implications. By examining their own experiences as well as the ways in which they fit, or do not fit, into the patterns revealed through gender, womens, and sexuality studies scholars, students arrive at a better understanding of the relationship of all genders to the society at large.
