Catalog description
This course is a one-semester introduction to methods and issues surrounding the teaching of mathematics in middle, junior, and senior high levels. The course is specifically designed to connect the students training in mathematics to educational theories. The course will focus on issues surrounding mathematics instruction and teaching techniques. Prerequisite: Admission to teacher education. Corequisite: EDUC 363 or EDUC 443.
