Catalog description
Introduces foundational practices in digital content creation for storytelling, including audio and video production, visual design, website development, and ethical media use. Students develop technical proficiency with cameras, audio equipment, and industry-standard software while applying journalistic principles such as the 5 Ws, ethical interviewing, and responsible representation. The course emphasizes how production choices and emerging technologies, including AI, shape narrative meaning and audience perception. Prerequisite: COMM 130 or permission of instructor.
