Catalog description

This course takes a sociological lens to the world of sports, analyzing the role and influence of sports as a major social institution. Focus will be on how social hierarchies and structures in the U.S. influence the experiences of fans, athletes, and athletics administrators across professional, collegiate, and amateur sports. Prerequisites: None.
