Catalog description

Participative course designed to enhance the knowledge base of the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and to incorporate new knowledge and skills necessary to access, extricate, and care for victims of crash incidents. Provides exposure to scene management skills, including size up, disentanglement, victim stabilization for single- and multi-victim situations, hazardous materials incidents, integration of local emergency medical services (EMS) for patient assessment and management, and standard operating procedures for selected victim scenarios.
