Transitions paramedics to scope and practice of nursing. Focuses on nursing concepts and theories to meet basic human needs across the lifespan throughout the wellness/illness continuum. Theoretical concepts focus on clients of all ages with selected physiological and psychological alterations. Emphasis on expanding the paramedic's skills and experience to transition to the role of the nurse utilizing nursing process and critical thinking in acute care and community settings.
