Exploration of smart cities, focusing on how emerging technologies are integrated into urban infrastructures to enhance city services, improve operational efficiency, and foster sustainable urban development. Students will explore the key components of smart city ecosystems, including Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven analytics, smart grids, intelligent transportation systems, and environmental monitoring technologies. In addition, the implications of these advancements on social, economic, and environmentally sustainable smart cities. Prerequisites: None.
