Supervised student teaching in a K-12 special education setting. Students are expected to demonstrate competency in knowledge and skills in the areas of appropriate assessment strategies, lesson planning, implementing instructional strategies, and utilizing behavior management systems and programs. Emphasis on the provision of specialized instruction to meet the requirements of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
