Catalog description

Overview of instructional practices, interventions, and assessments associated with reading instruction and the systematic teaching of phonics. Course will address historical methods and current research in reading; analyze research-based instructional practices; analyze research-based assessments and possible interventions; review support provided by Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI); and explore Reading disabilities (Dyslexia) and laws associated with Reading disabilities.
