Catalog description

Examines the foundational principles of ironworking, including safety practices and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards. Topics include the proper use of tools and fastening methods, mobile construction equipment, rigging techniques, and interpreting trade drawings. Students are also introduced to cutting methods, the principles of structural steel and welding, bar joists and girders, metal decking, and field fabrication safety.
