Catalog description
This course offers an in-depth exploration of modern analytical instrumentation procedures commonly used in chemical analysis. Students will gain a thorough understanding of the principles, components, and functions of a wide range of analytical instruments, including but not limited to spectroscopy, chromatography, and electrochemical analysis tools. The course is designed to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical experience through a combination of engaging lectures, hands-on laboratory experiments, and structured technical report writing. Emphasis is placed on developing critical skills such as selecting appropriate analytical methods for specific applications, operating complex instrumentation with precision, troubleshooting common issues, and interpreting experimental data accurately.
