Catalog description

This course provides an overview of the manufacturing processes utilized in advanced manufacturing facilities, as well as the materials most likely to be encountered. Students will be exposed to manufacturing machines, automated systems, operating systems, and maintenance. Manpower skill sets, tools, procurement, producing timing, productivity, raw materials, schematics and engineering documentation will be discussed. Two hours of lab will be taught each week focusing on additive manufacturing and materials testing. This course meets the requirements for the MSSC certificate in Manufacturing Processes and Production.
