Catalog description
This course will consist of 2 major parts. The first part will primarily focus on cultures and historical events that shaped Spain from prehistoric times to present days, and which have been one of the major influences on the development of the Spanish speaking World. In the second part of the course, we will explore different aspects of the cultures and civilizations of the Spanish-speaking countries in the Americas prior to the arrival of the Spanish and up through the 21st century. Prerequisites: Advanced Spanish: Language and Culture or equivalent This is course is an elective, an advanced knowledge of Spanish is required.
