This course introduces students to the fundamentals of writing in the field of psychology, with an emphasis on evidence-based reasoning and academic integrity. Students will learn how to locate, read, and evaluate peer-reviewed published psychological research and distinguish trustworthy information from misinformation. The course covers key writing skills including paraphrasing, citing sources using APA style, and integrating scholarly evidence into clear and coherent written work. Students will also explore the ethical and effective use of AI tools in the research and writing process. Through practical assignments and critical analysis, students will develop the skills necessary to write confidently and ethically in the discipline of psychology.
