Catalog description

New York State and Local Government is an upper-level course that explores the political system of New York State. Students will analyze the relationships between municipalities, the state, and the federal government. Students will explore governmental structures, important political issues, and public policies that affect citizens, taxpayers and voters. Students who are not New York residents or former residents will use New York as a case to understand their own state.
