Introduction to Global Politics is about the concepts and dynamics of globalization and the world around us. Students will explore the historical development, key ideas, and contemporary issues that shape our interconnected world. The course covers topics such as the evolution of global and national political systems and institutions, the impact of globalization on politics, economics and culture, and current understandings of issues as broad as equality and inequality, political insecurity, hunger, health, energy, and the environment. By the end of the course, students will have a foundational understanding of global politics and develop skills to analyze current global issues.
