Catalog description
This internship course provides undergraduate students with the opportunity to apply marketing theories, research methodologies, and promotional skills within a marketing environment. Students will engage in substantive work activities within core marketing functions, including activities directly related to the marketing mix, consumer behavior, market analysis, and marketing research, while examining the strategic role of marketing in driving organizational growth. This internship learning opportunity enables students to apply learned academic knowledge to analyze and resolve real-world marketing issues and problems while advancing their marketing career readiness. A student must develop a learning contract (LC) with their faculty mentor/academic advisor and workplace supervisor before the internship begins. Prerequisites: Marketing Principles, Marketing Management, Marketing Research, or proof of equivalent learning is required.
